Devil's Market Map Guide

Orient yourself on the ground map - farm, kitchen, stall, forage, and mystery shop.

Map Guide

Devil’s Market (Pasar Setan) packs a full cozy sim into one ground map plus a separate floating island instance. New players who spawn blind often waste the first night walking in circles - missing the kitchen before dusk, skipping forage nodes, or never finding Toko Misteri. Project Dukun designed the layout as a walkable loop: farm during daylight, cook at your hut, sell when ghosts arrive, and return to sacred shops between cycles. This guide orients you to every major zone so session time goes to earning coins, not searching for prompts.

The embedded video above walks the map in real time - use it alongside this written reference on your first two sessions. For input help, keep the Controls guide open on mobile.

Map overview

Think of Pasar Setan as three layers:

LayerWhereWhen you use it
Ground mapFarm, kitchen, stall, forage, mystery shopEvery session
Night market phaseYour stall counterAfter dusk
Floating islandSky home instanceMid-game unlock

The ground map is shared online space - other players walk the same paths, but personal farm beds and stall stock belong to your save.

Your farm plots

Spawn lands you near tilled soil beds on your starter plot. This is daytime headquarters.

Key landmarks:

  • Jasmine beds marked during tutorial
  • Water source or refill point within short walk
  • Expansion slots you unlock with stall coins later

Run the Farming Ingredients loop here: plant, water, harvest. Keep paths clear so you can sprint to the kitchen when crops ripen. Farm decor is optional - income comes from harvest volume, not fences.

Kitchen and prep station

Follow tutorial arrows from farm to the cooking hut - usually adjacent to your plot with a prep table and fire or pot interact point.

Kitchen checklist:

  1. Stand at station with ingredients in inventory
  2. Select recipe slots shown in UI
  3. Wait for cook timer (faster with upgrades)
  4. Move finished plates to hotbar slots for night service

Never skip kitchen prep before night. The Cooking Guide explains which recipes match your harvest; the Night Market guide explains why empty hotbars mean zero coins.

Night stall location

Your personal stall counter sits near the market lane - distinct from Toko Misteri. When sky lighting dims, interact with the stall sign to open business.

Stall zone tips:

  • Face the customer queue from behind the counter
  • Keep two dish types ready on hotbar
  • Upgrade capacity using coins from prior nights

Ghost customers are friendly NPCs - no jumpscares, no combat. Serving mechanics are covered in depth on the Night Market page.

Island portal and sky travel

The floating island is not on the starting tutorial path. After mid-game milestones, a portal, lift, or NPC fly prompt appears - often near the market hub or a shrine on the ground map.

Until unlock:

  • Ignore sky teasers in trailers
  • Focus coins on stall and farm throughput per Getting Started

After unlock, the portal becomes a regular stop between ground farming and home decor sessions. Full unlock steps live in Floating Island Home.

Forage spots

Rare ingredients spawn at world nodes, not in seed packs:

  • Grave mushrooms - cemetery-adjacent corners, marked pick points
  • Crow materials - nests and treeline interact spots
  • Event herbs - patch-specific spawns announced on Updates

Walk forage routes while jasmine grows. Nodes respawn on timers - learn two loops and alternate them. Busy servers may empty nodes; revisit later instead of server hopping unless desperate.

Toko Misteri mystery shop

Toko Misteri occupies its own storefront on the ground loop - sacred lanterns, separate NPC, higher prices than farm goods. It sells rotating sacred stock detailed in the Mystery Shop guide.

Find it after you can reliably complete one night shift. Mystery buys are optional shortcuts - not required for tutorial completion.

Suggested first-session walking route

For brand-new merchants:

  1. Spawn → plant and water jasmine
  2. Walk kitchen once to memorize path
  3. Circle outer map edge to spot mushroom and crow nodes (even if locked early)
  4. Locate your stall sign before dusk
  5. After night one, find Toko Misteri on a daylight lap
  6. Read Map video timestamp for island portal location preview

Repeat the loop daily until paths are automatic.

Day vs night navigation

Lighting shifts signal phase changes - you do not manually select day or night. During night, prioritize stall service over exploration. Forage and mystery shopping belong to daylight when ghost customers are not waiting.

Multiplayer map notes

Online servers show other players at farms and market lanes. You cannot harvest someone else’s jasmine or serve from their inventory. Use social presence for morale and screenshots, not shared progression.

Report map bugs (missing NPCs, blocked portals) on Discord with server region and platform.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Devil's Market one map or multiple worlds?

The core loop runs on one ground map with instanced farm and stall progress. The floating island is a separate sky instance unlocked mid-game via a portal or travel prompt.

Where do I cook food on the map?

At the prep station near your starter plot - follow tutorial arrows from jasmine beds to the cooking hut. Finish plates before walking to the night stall.

When should I explore forage spots?

During daylight while crops grow. Grave mushrooms and crow materials spawn at marked world nodes - learn routes in the Farming Ingredients guide.

How do I find Toko Misteri on the map?

Walk the ground loop away from your personal farm - look for a separate sacred-themed shopfront with its own interact prompt. It is not your night market counter.
